You don’t have to go far from Lomakivi to find something to do. The nearby nature invites you to hike, cycle and paddle, the golf course is right next door and you can even get to the village dance pavilion for a summer evening. Here an active day easily begins right from the yard – and at the end of the day you can return to the sauna and settle into the quiet of the countryside.

Around Lomakivi you can move through forest, along field edges and by the water. The roughly 8-kilometre Radansuu nature trail circles the village and offers varied terrain and beautiful places to stop.

Lomakivi is a good base for a cycling trip. Quiet main roads and gravel roads offer options for both relaxed touring and a somewhat more energetic ride.

Waterways are part of the Iitti landscape. You can set off on a paddling trip to get to know the area at your own pace, and for those arriving by water there is a landing place a couple of kilometres from Lomakivi.

The golf course is located right next to Lomakivi, so a day of golf and rural peace can easily be combined in the same visit. There is scenery to enjoy even when the clubs are already in the bag – the terraces of the holiday houses have a view towards the golf course.

When a summer evening calls you to the dance pavilion, it is worth answering. In the Iitti summer you can dance in the traditional way – and afterwards you can sleep peacefully overnight at Lomakivi. Bring your dancing shoes. They don’t take up much space in a suitcase.
The outdoor trail running around Radansuu is a good way to get to know the immediate surroundings of Lomakivi without having to plan a bigger programme for the day.
Along the route you can stop at Lemmenkukkula hill, admire the rock cliffs and detour to Kalmusaari island via a small wooden bridge. The trail is open all year round.
Sometimes the best holiday day is the one that doesn’t have too much booked into it.
