The history of Lomakivi reaches back to the beginning of the settlement of the Radansuu isthmus. The farm’s location settled at its present site during the stages of the Great Partition (isojako) in the early 1800s. The current main building and the granary date from 1868.
Today Lomakivi is hosted by the farm’s 13th generation.

Today
The 13th generation continues the farm’s story as a tourist farm where the old farm setting and modern accommodation live side by side.

At Lomakivi, past generations are visible in the buildings, the farmyard and the food traditions. At the same time the farm lives in the present day – accommodating travellers, welcoming groups, raising horses and offering a place to pause for a moment.
